Investar triumphed at the Property Investors Awards 2017, winning Property Development of the Year and Serviced Accommodation of the Year.

The biggest and brightest names in today’s property investment world gathered at the Royal National Hotel in London on the 2 December 2017 for an evening celebrating the very best in the industry.

Investar’s Halifax House in Liverpool was named as the Property Development of the Year, the most prestigious award on the night. The development of bespoke, city centre apartments saw Investar restore the former headquarters of the Union Bank of the British Empire to its former glory.

Each of the 22 units boasts its own interior design theme, including banking, the natural world, romance and world travel. They are finished to a high quality, with materials imported from Europe, and featuring handmade British furniture.

The second award on the night saw Investar coming out top for Serviced Accommodation category, for the serviced accommodation business we launched in June 2016.

Since its inception, the business has developed affiliations with industry-leading platforms, such as Expedia, LateRooms, Booking.com and Agoda, with occupancy rates climbing steadily and rapidly as a result.

Investar Property Group CEO Michael Dong described winning the Development of the Year award as ‘a turning point and a milestone for the business and the team.’

Commenting on the firm’s success in the Serviced Accommodation category he said: ‘Winning this award means a lot to us. It’s a proof of concept for the business, recognition of the team’s hard work.
