Royal George Village will be an exciting new urban neighbourhood in Stockport, fronting the A6 and Greek Street. This ground-breaking placemaking project introduces 442 apartments, comprising of new build, conversion and extension of the existing development. There will be additional co-working and office spaces available in the Greek Street Building. High quality public realm, a shared amenity space and enhanced pedestrian accessibility is featured in this scheme as well to better fulfill the purpose of placemaking for the whole community.

    With new landscaping, shared amenity space and enhanced pedestrian accessibility, the proposed development would create a prestigious new frontage on to Greek Street, defined by four buildings: the improved Torkington; the War Memorial Art Gallery; the former metropolitan girl’s school; and the ‘Gateway’ building

    Change of use of the Torkington building from educational to residential, together with the removal of the existing two-storey rooftop plant and replacement with a new two-storey residential rooftop extension (122nr units in total)
